     Member News This news feed is contributions from ARMA members, news of forthcoming events, details of new publications and other items of interest. ARMA provides an informal publication tool which provide members with an opportunity to communicate with others within the arthritis and musculoskeletal community. In fact the Newsletter relies on material sent in by members and others.          A4T Newsletter The editor is always grateful for contributions. Any information of interest to the ARMA members and community is welcome, including new publications, news of events and campain results. International

    ARMA International Affairs Our international membership is aimed at organisations based outside of the UK where we actively collaborate with other national and international organisations. Our membership keeps you informed and connected with developments across the globe and provides you with the connections and resources to help combat musculoskeletal disorders. Currently ARMA is a member of the European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR) and the Bone and Joint Decades (BJD).                        EULAR – the European League Against Rheumatism ARMA is the PARE member representing the UK. As the UK national organisation of people with arthritis/rheumatism we provide information on the different conditions specifically developed for a non-medical audience, and also offer contact between people with the same problems caused by their disease. Countries across Europe are represented within EULAR, which provides a diverse organisation which represents different approaches resulting from size, structure and activities, however all work with a common to improvie the lifes of people with arthritis/rheumatism. EULAR activities include lobbying at the european  level, e.g., raising awareness of the disease, defending the civil rights of people with arthritis, or having access to the latest and most appropriate treatments. EULAR collect then collate information on the different musculoskeletal conditions conditions specifically developed for a non-medical audience. As the UK representitive ARMA acts as an information hub, disseminating information to the musculoskeletal community across the UK. For more information see EULAR website.       Bone and Joint Decade (BJD) The United Nations, the World Health Organization and 37 countries proclaimed the year 2000-2010 as the Bone and Joint Decade. Due to the success of this organisation it has now been extended to the Bone and Joint decades. Local Networks

        ARMA Local Networks This news feed is contributions from ARMA Local Networks, news of forthcoming events, details of activities and other items of interest. The basic idea behind the local network is that by working together in a defined geographical area the local clinicians, allied health professionals and service users can improve services for people with arthritis and musculoskeletal conditions.  These highly valued groups are able to: Monitor local service provision. Identify and campaign on local service issues. Raise local awareness and knowledge of the conditions               Are You Online! With new on-line contributor tools you can manage your local activities and connect with others and create and share experiences and and ideas. ARMA want to encourage people to use these tools to enhance their lives, develop local services and to raise awareness of musculoskeletal conditions. ARMA is pleased to be working with the following companies or orginisations. If you are an individual, you may be a member of one of these organizations. ARMA does not have individual members. Wildlife and Countryside Link has two types of membership – Full and Associate.
